Dená

Hello, My name is Teacher Dená and I am a Head Teacher at Tinycare. Previously, I owned and operated a preschool as well as a before - after school program for children ages 0-12. Where I also mentored teenagers who were interested in learning about child development. My goal is to provide children the optimal environment that promotes learning through exploration and communication. Teaching children to be aware of their environment and themselves is what I like to highlight in our classroom. We teach children how to communicate through English with exposure to American Sign Language. Community is really important to me, which is why I became an executive board member of a non-profit company that focuses on educating individuals/groups on the importance of health and safety in the childcare environment. Although I am a teacher, I will always consider myself a student. I am currently enrolled in college studying Sociology with an emphasis in Family Development. For fun, I study holistic healing through gardening and cooking. Which are my other two passions in life. As well as being outdoors in nature. Nature sparks creativity, and creativity is what we like to focus on in our classroom!

Samira

My name is Samira and I am the Head Teacher in Training at SoMa Infant. I have always loved working with children and find it incredibly rewarding to support them as they grow and develop new skills. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and am currently pursuing a certificate in Early Childhood Education. I have a 12 year old daughter myself, and I love volunteering at her school events and activities. In my free time I enjoy listening to music and cooking.

Meet our Head of Education

Adam

I am Tinycare’s Head of Education, and focus on supporting our teaching teams and family communities across our network. Prior to joining Tinycare in 2020, I was previously an elementary school principal and instructional superintendent, where I worked on innovative school models. My wife and I have a 9 month old at home, so I my focus on early childhood and reaching developmental milestones extends beyond my professional role!

Your family’s health & safety is our highest priority

We strive to provide the safest, highest quality licensed micro daycares and preschools in San Francisco, with maximum 4 children per infant class for minimal exposure risk.

Our COVID-19 policies are based on the most cutting edge research and go above and beyond CDC recommendations:

early detection

  • smart thermometer daily temperature checks for parents, children, and teachers

  • biweekly staff testing

PPE

  • masks / face shields for staff

  • 1.5 hrs of daily cleaning & sanitation

ventilation

  • HEPA grade air filters

  • HVAC UV lights

  • windows open to increase air flow

minimizing exposure risk

  • ~6 children per class

  • designated subs per classroom

  • staggered pick up & drop off times

  • family agreement to adhere to strict lifestyle and share risk factors

If San Francisco returns to shelter-in-place, we offer at-home daily live video classes and reduced tuition during any temporary site closures.
