Meet the Teachers at Dogpatch Infant 2

Jenni

My name is Jenni and I am the Head Teacher at Dogpatch Infant 2. I was born in Mexicali B.C. Mexico and was brought up in Toledo, OH. Going to school in the inner city allowed me to grow in a diverse environment, leading me to learn and attain American Sign Language. While I was in college I decided to major in Speech and Language Pathology, while also working part time at a child care center. My love for working with children grew and that is when I decided to make it a career. My curriculum style is heavily Reggio Emilia influenced as well as play-based. To make learning fun I allow children to explore the world around them through play. I ask open ended questions to allow them to use critical thinking all while incorporating what they become interested in learniNeeva Karandikarng into my lesson plans.

Kayla

My name is Kayla and I am the Head Teacher in Training at Dogpatch Infant. I started babysitting at the age of fourteen and I have been caring for children for almost 6 years now. I love taking care of kids because I genuinely love kids, I love how they think and how they are not afraid to say what’s on their minds. I just remember a time when I used to be like that, never afraid to just be me and be happy with that. I just want to do whatever I can do to make sure that kids stay with that mentality of unapologetically just being them and proud.

Meet our Head of Education

Adam

I am Tinycare’s Head of Education, and focus on supporting our teaching teams and family communities across our network. Prior to joining Tinycare in 2020, I was previously an elementary school principal and instructional superintendent, where I worked on innovative school models. My wife and I have a 9 month old at home, so I my focus on early childhood and reaching developmental milestones extends beyond my professional role!

Your family’s health & safety is our highest priority

We strive to provide the safest, highest quality licensed micro daycares and preschools in San Francisco, with maximum 4 children per infant class for minimal exposure risk.

Our COVID-19 policies are based on the most cutting edge research and go above and beyond CDC recommendations:

early detection

  • smart thermometer daily temperature checks for parents, children, and teachers

  • staff testing

PPE

  • masks for staff

  • daily cleaning & sanitation

ventilation

  • HEPA grade air filters

  • HVAC UV lights

  • windows open to increase air flow

minimizing exposure risk

  • ~4 children per class

  • staggered pick up & drop off times

If San Francisco returns to shelter-in-place, we offer at-home daily live video classes and reduced tuition during any temporary site closures.
